Jenna Read

I am passionate, chaotically organised, freethinking and determined.

My name is Jenna Read, and I am an Australian based graphic designer with a creative flair matched with an eye for detail. The combination results in a self-motivated, hardworking professional who prides herself on the ability to create aesthetically pleasing and innovative designs. I have recently relocated and am now based in Melbourne working as a designer for JMA.

Armed with a qualification (Bachelor of Visual Media with First Class Honours, Majoring in Graphic Design, Specialising in Digital Design and 3D Design), and tools at my disposal, I am able to create designs that will both meet a brief, whilst putting my own creative stamp on it. The results speak for themselves.

My versatility enables me to be successful in a range of projects, ranging from concept creation, corporate identity (logo, branding), advertising campaigns/briefs, publications, signage and poster design.

To sum up my experiences to date, I have – and continue to do – Freelance work, worked as a junior designer for both a design studio and sign writing company, and taught graphic design courses to students as a tutor for The Queensland College of Art (Griffith University, Gold Coast Campus).

In October of 2009, I also had a solo exhibition as part of my Honours project entitled ISMS, a collection of posters that explores issues ending in the suffix ISM. The collection aimed to experiment in a more conceptual style of poster design and in doing so explore posters’ relevance in today’s society.
